Connect with Nature Hike — Walk the trails of Prompton State Park, The Himalayan Institute or Lake Wallenpaupack, where you revel in the wonders of nature, from rushing waterfalls to mountaintop views. We’ll point you in the right direction!  

Go Horseback – Saddle up for an awesome trail ride at nearby Happy Trails Stables. Prices for the beginner or experienced rider start at $34 for one hour.

Two-Wheel Drive —Get in gear for the Tour de Dyberry, a 14-mile, scenic bike ride; minimum of 8 guests; $18 each; bike rental available at $35 per bike.

Kayak the Delaware — Have an exhilarating time on the water; minimum of 10 guests for this 12-mile stretch; $75 each, includes kayaks, equipment and transportation to start point

Float Your Boat – Lake Wallenpaupack is a popular spot for sailing and motor boating, not to mention water-skiing, jet-skiing and fishing. Visit Lighthouse Harbor Marina’s web site to view daily boat rentals options, or if you’d prefer a guided scenic boat tour, check out Lake Wallenpaupack Scenic Boat Tours (only $19 for a 50-minute cruise).

Tee Off – Take advantage of two great public golf courses within 30 minutes of the inn. Both are fun, friendly and affordable: Cricket Hill, an 18-hole course; and Red Maples Golf Course, a 9-hole course.

Visit Wineries — Enjoy serene settings, spectacular views and a wide selection of wines at several area wineries. We especially love Three Hammers Winery.

If Beer’s Your Thing…— We have two micro-breweries right in downtown Honesdale and Hawley. Stop in and sample a flight! Prices vary.

Who Doesn’t Love Chocolate?!!—Visit Moka Origins at The Himalayan Institute and indulge in a free tasting of the most amazing chocolates and coffee made before your eyes.  The beans are ethically sourced from various parts of Africa. Moka supports farmers and craft deliciousness.
